Massive fluke, it’s way too big

The tail, itself, fits beautifully, however the fluke is so massive that the monofin I have doesn’t fit at all. I can’t afford a monofin from this site at the moment and I have no idea if the monofin son this site would even fit, so I’m debating if it’s worth spending an extra $500 just on a fin that might not work. It would be considered very dangerous to swim with it the way I was planning to, with the one I have. I need a much larger sized monofin to be able to swim with it, and I’m a very small person. The tail, should also have a zipper on the bottom where you can insert the monofin, that way, when swimming, the fluke doesn’t open up and take away from the magic of mermaiding. I did want a large fluke, but I wasn’t expecting THIS big. Just the fluke, itself, is the full length of my legs. I’m impressed with the detail but VERY disappointed in the usefulness of the tail, itself due to the sizing and me being as small as I am, having had high hopes for it.
